Douglas Nagle, PA-C...............Melvin Seek, MD, Medical Director
Countryside House Calls, Inc. was founded by Douglas Nagle, PA-C. The company is established for the purpose to provide home or worksite medical care, an alternative to the present health care system, because of the disabling conditions of chronic disease, aging, and inability to access healthcare in a timely matter, cost-effectively.
Melvin Seek, MD, is board certified in Internal Medicine, and Nephrology. He finished his medical training at the University of Missouri in 1979. He went on to complete his work as a fellow in nephrology in 1986 along with his board certification in Critical Care Medicine. Since then his career in medicine has been highlighted by research appointments, medical directorships, and teaching positions.
Since arriving in Ocala, he has held or currently holding the Medical Director position for the Ocala Regional Kidney Center, Hospice of Marion County, Munroe Regional Medical Center (MRMC) Home Health Agency, and established and directs the MRMC Heart Failure Program. He has served and continues to serve on numerous committees for Ocala Regional Medical Center (ORMC) and MRMC. He maintains professional memberships with the Florida Medical Association, Marion County Medical Society, American Medical Association, National Kidney Foundation, Academy of Hospice Physicians, and Renal Physicians Association. He has published numerous scientific articles and has extensive research experience. He is still an investigator with the Discovery Medical Research Group. In addition to being a member of First Baptist Church in Ocala, he began the first peritoneal dialysis program in Ocala, brought continuous renal replacement therapy to our area, and co-founded the Marion County Sheriff Medical Strike Team and “Healthy Ocala” a non-profit organization to securely connect patient information to patients and their providers.
There is so much more not reported that Dr Seek has provided for our community. It is, therefore, an honor for Countryside House Calls, Inc. to have Dr. Seek as the Medical Director.
